Watermelon is a kind of vine like plant which grow many trailers and climb everywhere. I collected seeds from a melon I bought from the market and managed to grow them in a pot. It took more than 1 month for it to grow little yellow flowers and eventually form tiny little fruit along the trailers. Some will grow and most will just dried up and fall off.
I managed to keep 2 melon growing for more than 2 months and most of the leaves started to turn yellow and brown. I assumed the melons are ready to be harvested.
No doubt the inner flesh is yellow same as the parent and it taste pretty sweet. Both are barely 3 kg but its an interesting experience growing melon around urban area with a pot.
